I honestly have not finished either song entirely for fear of it stripping some portion of my mental faculties.

You guys have to keep in mind that this is what girls her age SHOULD be singing about. She's not up there singing about boyfriends, cheating on guys, living the party life, etc. She's singing about wanting to make it and rising to the top.

It's better than half the s'hit they play on KIIS FM or those new era hip-hop/pop radio channels.

And... every rap artist also sings about this to in a certain extent. Except they at least have more variety and punch in their lyrical choice and chorus management. I mean off the top my head, 'Till I Collapse, Lose Yourself, Sing for the Moment...
