You can buy champs through playtime, not just through IRL money.
Every game in HoN is ranked, or so I hear from one of my 1800 ELO friends. Denying is not "double clicking". Denying is watching your creep's HP in addition to your opponent's. Adds a layer of skill, but also slows the game down because then laning REALLY becomes meta. Slows the rest of the game down IMO because of less gold. Then again, HoN in general is a more passive game with higher cooldowns and mana costs.

All "Denying" does is make you click twice as much in the game. How is that a better system? Make the most boring aspect of MOBA games even more boring / tedious?
