Exclusive high EXP, high drop rate, easy killing training maps that are instanced, easily traversable, exclusively drop items required for whatever event they're running at the time, and require NX tickets for entry that lasts up to one hour.

Minus the NX ticket, this is what GMS exclusive content is all about:

As for the first part:
The Masteria training grounds were pretty much the best around until Big Bang.
That's was at least a two or three year run (can't remember when Crimsomwood dropped).
I don't see how that's "quickly nerfed".
