MapleStory on 3G?

Well I read an old topic that said Maple used very minimal bandwidth, only 1-3 Kbps dowload and 1-3 upload per second. If you had an unlimited data plan and used a cell phone to link a laptop to the Internet, could one technically play MapleStory almost anywhere in America using 3G? I'm gonna try it when I get home from vacation.
