It was already admitted that one of the big reasons they even had the concert in the first place was for the publicity. Miku was already in various news papers around the world from the Miku Day performance, having one outside of Japan like this would be sure to tune in the media more. Also CNN had a story on her too I think.

They should just show this video instead of trying to explain what Miku is. I'm sure their viewers would be better informed.

But all of this aside, what annoys me the most isn't the mispronunciation of manga (as unprofessional as it is) or the crappy "hologram" talk. What annoys me the most is that none of these news stories seem to give credit to the very talented composers that actually make songs using Vocaloids. And a lot of them seem to make it seem like she's from an animated series or something. They never really make mention that she's actually the mascot to the Vocaloud software that people use for their own songs, and that all the songs she's performing are from very different people.
I know if I was interviewed (lol) the first thing I would talk about is how Vocaloid songs all are written and composed by different people, and maybe drop some names like Wowaka or OSTER in there as being popular composers. I'd explain how Vocaloid allows these artists to get recognized. I wouldn't bother talking about how cool Miku herself is, or how the performance was rad unless it was asked.
And for anyone that saw the concert, what the hell was with the audio during World's End Dancehall? It sounded like only Luka was singing, and she was singing off from the song. Kinda disappointing because that's probably my favorite song from what played in the concert.
