Okay. I have both Windows 7 and Windows XP on my computer. Both can run MapleStory pretty well, but I get strange and downright annoying problems depending on which OS I play on.
Windows XP:
- If I play too long/are around too many people/in a big boss, etc. I start getting graphics issues and the game eventually crashes. Fighting any major boss other than Papulatus is impossible.
- Entering the Cash Shop often causes my game to crash
- If I play for too long without restarting the client, UI windows (equip, party etc.) start to become invisible
Windows 7:
- I get strange 3-5 second lag spikes about 10 seconds after entering a map that has monsters in it. Larger maps are worse. After the initial spike, I usually don't get any more.
- In non-boss maps with monsters, the client freezes and crashes quite often for absolutely no reason, especially at LHC.
I would be able to bear it by restarting and switching operating systems depending on whether I'm bossing or training or using the Cash shop, etc. but they kind of overlap at LHC with the all the activity going on there.
Does anyone know any fixes for any of this stuff?
