i'm pretty sure damage played a role but not that much and not as severed. remember this was before PAC, miracle scrolls,apples , 30%/70% scrolls, etc. etc. all we had was 10% and 60% scrolls, no zhelms/others. so ur pretty will be using the gears that is closest to ur level, and not many people had items with more than 2 10% scrolls applied in, most were having items with 6-7 60% scrolls applied, so i can safely say we were pretty equal. and i say nobody says much about exp because they each have a different place to be. the strongest classes with the most damage wh0res and exp-caring ppl were sins and dks back then. sins were pretty much stuck with vkpt as the fastest place for exp, and they do depends on others, but since we're pretty much the same in dmg, it was meh. and each class had a forte each platform in vkpt too. for dk they were pretty much grim pt. when aqua dungeon comes along goby party kinda makes them less dependable i guess but other classes still fit in. the population of those who really cares MUCH about exp gain/hour and damage wh0re is really small compare to now
