3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton
ShiKage Wrote:Maybe it's just a matter of perspective, but I don't think those songs are an improvement at all. They detract from part of the atmosphere that the original songs give, which is why I think they decided not to redo the entire sound track for Ocarina of Time 3D. Usually when songs are remade, they either detract from the orignal theme or they just don't live up to the theme of the situation. It was better for them to have kept the original sound track than to gamble with an "upgraded" sound track.

Why is it ok to "gamble" with the graphics and completely upgrade them with no choice for the buyer, but not the music? And I also said "Granted ZREOs work isn't nearly as good as the one official orchestrated track in OoT 3D". If you compare the ZREOs team attempt at the same songs that make up nintendos orchestrated credit theme, to the one done by the official nintendo orchestra, there really is no comparision, nintendos is a million miles better. Amaingly, that happens when they have a pineappleton of money and time to throw at the project, where fan projects don't.

And, again, if it was that much of a problem, they could have just slapped an original music option in there and be done with it.
