Prices right now are ridiculous for the unfunded, so it doesn't really matter in that factor. This really could be a limited (undetermined amount of time) time event to trick the Chinese into believing they have nothing to farm for mesos.
Mesos would be ridiculously hard to make large profit off of for the Chinese if they don't have anything to sell in the free market so they can make mesos. 99% of the mesos the Chinese hackers obtain is through stealing/flooding maps that have monsters that drop mastery books or expensive scrolls and mass selling them in the market. It's basically a monopoly that only the Chinese control.
I'd rather have Nexon do something like this than have the Chinese hackers continue to ruin the crap out of the market.
