Maplestory producer E3 interview with Crstyn Cox
#36
SwordStaker Wrote:I can almost promise that the future won't be split up from Crafting.
Based on the presumption that GMS will never depart from KMS's release schedule despite the fact that they have in the past?

Sorien Wrote:No no, we need some pessimism here! How's this?

1. Class revamp, Aran's lose 20sp because of Snow Charge moving. No sp reset until some Hot Time event.
2. Crafting, but they forget to add the rocks and plants that give ores and oils.
3. Future, but no means to get there as the portal in ToT causes the client to crash. Also the crash comes with a 3 minute rb for the player, causing widespread duping.
4. PvP, but it has the same time zone as KMS, so few people will ever bother doing it.
5. Mastyria update, but CWKPQ becomes glitched and the sigils can't be activated.
You kinda fail at pessimism. I suggest you leave it to the professionals.

Glitches will happen. That's not pessimism, it's fact.
However, all of the theoretical issues you listed have simple fixes.

There's no 'fix' for a lack of exclusive content other than... well, releasing exclusive content.
Temporarily glitched content is still sexier to me than perfectly flawless new classes.

UNLIKE one freaking big patch with all the content and 4 more scheduled S/C's to activate every part within it Tongue
There will always be server checks to activate different parts of a big patch.
