Since Holy Focus works with Heal, it's more than likely programmed to work with a specific list of skills as opposed to actually checking the attribute of an attack.

Heal became a holy attribute skill with Big Bang, Holy Focus does check attributes. At least, until Jump made it so it worked on all skills.
