Since you retain your skills from the rebirth, higher level = more SP = more skills at your disposal when you rebirth. It pretty much translates to "We strongly recommend you hit the level cap before rebirthing your character."

You'd know why "Paladin -> Bishop" wouldn't work.

Bishop > Paladin, then. Equip a staff when you need to rebuff/when genesis cooldown ends. Actually, last I remember, a number of cleric/priest/bishop skills didn't even require a staff... you could cast them with umbrellas.

Umbrelladinshops might work.
