2) Rebirth as mage > max mp increase > add as much as you can to mp while maintaining a competent enough level of int to kill stuff > rebirth and repeat until satisfied.
Magic guard would just be the icing for the cake.
Or can you only rebirth once, making you screw yourself over if you rebirth solely for this purpose?
