I like to think of the universe as a paradox in itself. The only reason for its existence is its own existence. I also like to think that, the fact that I existed in this universe is reason enough to believe I existed, left my imprint on it, and it already has a meaning.
However, how did the universe come to exist? Nobody knows, but even creationists (I mean people who believe in any creator) have to assume their own paradox.
God exists to create the universe... But would God exist if he didn't create it? Or even more importantly. Where does God come from? Something else created him? And if he created himself, well, that's even more paradoxical :p
