The MAJOR debate over Holy Arrow

I think what the debate needs to take into account more than anything is the personality of the player. If a player thinks HA is fun, then he/she should take it. If they don't plan to use it a lot, then it may not be worth it. Personal preference more than anything else should be the deciding factor.

The only flaw in this idea is that if a person doesn't like fighting with Heal like that, they're going to have a very hard time as a Holy Magician.

And for you, with your HA-"only" cleric... did you notice that fighting on it is EXACTLY the same as fighting with a Fire Wizard, except that you're locked into Holy-weak monsters instead? You also don't get the potential benefits of Med, Poison Breath, or the simple fact that Holy-weak monsters are generally not as apt to single target fighting as Fire-weak ones, at least at those lower levels.
