It may not even be as much as a mental hangup: Different cultures just percieve things differently.
It's just how some people were raised. Heck, I know people who think curly hairstyles on women is bad cause it makes them look 'easy', same with women who wear shorts. Doesn't mean they're right. Nor wrong either.
Some cultures just think they're more right than others.
Seems they had to up the HP on the mobs. High potential players were gettin too OP for them i guess, I also respect their consideration in removing elemental resistances from certain mobs.
