Beloved, I read your story, and I don't see how it contradicts my question. I have a similar story myself, but I'm not going to post it here.
The problem here is stereotyping. People tend to assume that a person can't simultaneously have high intelligence and social skills. The two qualities are independent of one another, and it is definitely true, probability-wise, that it is more likely for a person to have one refined than both. However, it does not rule out the possibility that a person can possess both.
