Yeah, you just have your Rikaichan set to a different mode. You can change between them. I know, it happened to me long ago and I thought it was broken as well, but then I just looked at the FAQs and it cleared everything up to me.
Remember to just hit me up if you ever need study tips. I would have recommended smart.fm, but recently they got all greedy moneybags and decided that they'll close the site down this month and make it subscription based even though it was basically built on user created content. But there's other stuff I can recommend for vocabulary building, if you need.
