What about the idea brought up earlier (I think?), about seeding matches? You make them into groups of four and hold three rounds like this (within each group of four):
1v2, 3v4
1v3, 2v4
1v4, 2v3
and then sum up the votes for each song out of three rounds and take the top 4 or 8 from each division or whatever.
Would take longer but then you don't need a loser's bracket at all (since all songs will get to compete at least three times).
