If you want colors and power, something yet to be suggested is an IL mage.

My IL is level 81, and with maxed ice strike, 1 in tele mastery, and some Amp, I already do 10K crits to Iron Mutaes, even though they're 5 levels above me, and I have nothing but clean gear.

Also, I tried I/L Mages before but I agree they can be pretty great. Perhaps maybe I might make one in the future? But right now it's the jobs that I listed in the post before your's. o:
