Penises are easier to draw. It's a way to just be "badass" and "kick the man" or whatever. I dunno, people also write vulgarities all over the place for no apparent reason other than just doodling somewhere.
When kids do it in school on desks it's probably because all their friends think it's funny (and laugh at poop jokes). Or they're sexually frustrated by raging hormones from puberty, so all they think about is sex, and need an outlet to let loose somewhere.
