Final Fantasy XIII Not Quite The Final Fantasy?

IMO 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, and 10-2 were the best the series offered as far as quality story, game play, and being true to the brand could be done.

(as for 7, what happened down in the forgotten city ruins is STILL talked about to this day as being to most remembered climax ever placed in a game).

I'll list my gripes on the rest (agree or disagree if needed):

FF2 - No real EXP/Level system that made the game next to unplayable later on if you didn't fight correctly.
FF3 - (aside limited availability) Poor Job changing system and lack of direction.
FF5 - Extremely hard monsters, bosses, and even special area enemies made the game a drag out. Great story however but it wasn't enough.
FF8 - Magic system was tedious and annoying at times, confusing, and enemies always matching your levels in the overworld... err... no.
FF9 - Too cartoony, too outlandish, tried to imitate 7 and utterly failed.
FF11 - Not a fan of these kind of MMOs and pay-to-play wasn't a huge turn on with me.
FF12 - Seriously are the guy characters that into their looks? Game was confusing and storyline was less than desirable.
FF13 - Lightning... she's very man-ish... and the non-controlled gameplay for MOST of the game... err... I'm sorry, but no.

7- Dirge of Cerebus was different enough that I won't list it here. And it was quite good.
