Seems like touch damage won't knock you off ropes anymore. Haven't tested magic yet.
Not sure if it's the same thing, but for quite a few months now I've noticed that if I'm climbing up a rope, I don't get knocked off by mobs moving around on the platform above. I don't know if the same has applied when just hanging from a rope or if hit with a magic attack, though.
I well remember those days trying to get places at HHG and Pig Beach.
I was so glad when it changed.
