If you really want to know what the whole core of Big Bang is then go work for NEXON. Fiel and many others especially on SP has many formulas already, codes and etc already outlining and detailing several aspects that were changed. NEXON doesn't need to pacify anyone and break down part by part whats in it, what the letter Q means and why 3 1 20= Cat. SP and Basil exist because NEXON "sucks"? Seriously? What does Basil have anything to do with extraction information? It has people who made guides using information and then talk about things, as well as use it as a MapleStory Ebay. sp has and always will be a one huge discussion forum for everything MS. The extractions don't have to be there but they are because Fiel enjoys sharing his findings with the community.
Perfection should be everyone's final intent. To say otherwise is absolutely ludicrous. If you want to buy a product where the creator aimed for mediocrity then... that sounds like a serious problem, but don't expect other people to be satisfied with that. EVERYONE should be aiming to produce the best product they can. People shouldn't need to play scavenger hunt all over the internet to learn what they want to know. If Nexon is going to try and say that this is a big update and people should be excited for it, and should come back to check it out, they kinda need to tell people what the hell it is they're supposed to come check out. There's some vagueness in the first post regarding what they've changed, but it really doesn't say anything. To be honest, I still don't have a very good idea of what's in Big Bang aside from skill and map changes. There's a LOT of stuff that's been altered. Hell, the whole reason sites like SP etc. exist is because Nexon has always done a terrible job at telling people what they're doing. you can say "That makes things more exciting" but all it's really done is cause a lot of disinformation on sites like Basil to take root.
It would be so easy to correct if Nexon would put out some accurate information themselves before the last minute, but they don't. To go off the first quote here, Takebacker had to dig through 70 pages of public information to find out what he needed to know. All that information is public, there's no reason for Nexon to treat it as if it's secret. If they would just put it on their site, that wouldn't be necessary. At one point they had detailed patch notes, then they went to worthless outlines, and for a while there were no notes at all. Now they've started to become aware of the need for patch notes but they still don't quite get what belongs in them. If you want your players to appreciate the scale of the changes in Big Bang, TELL THEM ABOUT IT. Tell us every little change that was made. Better still, actually make sure those changes are in game and accurate, since there seems to be a huge amount of incorrect NPC text still.
So your saying is NEXON should post tons of pictures about Tespia all over their website? If you want to find out information don't be lazy and expect NEXON to just pacify you. Do the research and if you find something you find it if you don't you don't. At that point just wait till the release comes and experience it first hand. When has NEXON ever treated Big Bang as a secret? The first time they mentioned it they already knew the community knew about it. Hell -Hime- kept saying on the forums over and over and over again "Watch for info on Big Bang soon." NEXON even said and I quote, "In Korea they called it the Big Bang. But we don't know what to call it!" implying very simply right there we know more than half the community knows about it now we want your feed back. Why should patch notes be detailed? A simple outline telling you whats here, whats there and whats changed is all you needed. They don't need to write a 5 paragraph essay for every new map and every new change that would be ridiculous. One word: Tespia. Plus I can't believe you and so many other people are getting so worked up over what quest text says. Just let it go it is NOT big deal. If it gets fixed it gets fixed if it doesn't move on. inb4 you say ANYTHING. Yes, I do read every single quest I take it and if it says "My dogs like seal meat please get sea horse tails" it shouldn't bother you. If it does then seriously just stop playing because things will be mis-worded almost every patch in every game you play.
