Behind the Content: Big Bang Developer Interview

I swear guys, for the "intelligent bunch" image I have in regards of this particular site, in comparison with the other community places, you seem to not get the point of what this announcement is all about.

People complain that they're tired of the hype fodder, that they should elaborate, that they tell a lot without telling anything concrete, that they take credit for something the main developing team did... Come one, guys! This is PR at its most basic. You really forget that these things are not only targeted to the guys that play a min-max, math and statistical driven, game but also to the average guy who doesn’t know all the underlying works in regards to the patch.

PR people are just doing their work, really, that’s all there is to it. Why should they explain in deep mechanic aspects of their game when most of the gamers that go to the site to read the news are not particularly inclined to that? How would the PR department look if they posted a new saying that the copy-paste effort is going along well? From that perspective, what they did is pretty standard business tactic, really.

On the other hand, if people are getting down because of the Bing Bang hype, most of the time its because we brought in on ourselves, by following closely the development and implementation in KMS. GMS started the hype a few months back, yes, but most of us have been on “the scoop” for far longer, that certainly not being the fault of GMS.
