The article uses terms such as 'new skill's, 'balancing', 'restrucure of the underlying mechanics' yet they don't really explain any of these. What underlying mechanics did you guys have a problem with? Tell us a story about an issue. You speak of player feedback and needs being addressed. What are these needs you speak of? Give an example.Did you guys even read anything?

Crappy hype is crappy.

This, really. They need to learn to elaborate on things. Then again, they probably can't because they're making everything up. They're lying and doing a horrible job at it. They didn't do anything other than possibly translate (if that's what the GDT does, not sure if they have a separate team for translations or not). They said a few things they thought the players would want to hear, and probably assume that most of their fanbase would be too young to care about details. So they just vaguely touch points that kids would be excited about, I guess.

As someone who's played (still playing) a newbie in Tespia, all I can say is that the game still feels "disjointed".
- Many quests unrelated to anything else.
- Many quests popping up in your Available tab at the same time all over the world, leaving you confused as to what to do next.

- Quests removed, but reference to them remaining in the text, for example:
--- Dances with Balrogs asks you "Where did you hear the name Andras?" and you "(tell him the story)" even though the whole quest line up to that point got deleted
--- Tigun the Advisor says "You're the person who brought me the books?" when Jay's quest for the history books has apparently got deleted or moved to a much higher level.

- Some quests still not level appropriate, for example:
--- At level 35, Dr. Betty asks for Cogs from level 70+ chronos
--- At level 40, Elpam Gorlab asks for Magnets from level 65 Barnard Grays
--- At level 45, Jane asks for Drake's Blood that can only be gotten in Sleepywood's over-50 area (you literally can't get in before that)

- Some quests hastily changed to match new levels of mobs, but didn't bother to change the text, with absurd results:
--- Nanuke tells you how nutritious seal meat is, then asks you to get some seahorse tails for his huskies.
--- Manji tells you to hunt for the Contract of Darkness among the monsters risen from the dead by its powers: Hector and White Fang :f6:

Granted, none of this stuff is game-breaking, but since they're boasting about going over every little detail to make the game experience smoother... bleh.

Just another hype-filler annoucement while they try to get BB ready for release.

That's quite the disappointment, but I guess it can't be helped. There's so much content to cover that you can't expect them to actually work enough to make everything consistant, can you? The same people that stated in an earlier hype announcement that Pink Bean was one of the Black Mage's minions? Yeah, have those guys work with continuity.
