They probably lost tons of money. Since the sale on cubes was anticipated for about a month, I assume people didn't buy them, knowing they could get a discounted price later on.
People already bought the NX, Nexon has our money already. You don't buy items in the CS for dollars and cents directly, you use those dollars and cents to buy NX, and then use the NX to buy items in the CS. As long as people buy NX, Nexon makes money. Doesn't matter if they spend the NX or not.
