Well, that doesn't change the fact that a fair amount of content needing tested comes from said quests. In the process of doing quests, you can also run into a number of bugs.

Thanks and all, but that thread's been inactive and dead for a while now. I for one have added at least 100 to my quest specialist title since then, and I haven't done everything lately so I know I've fallen behind.

I don't think this is as big of a deal as people think. I admitted to having used an RO private server prior to coming to MS when I applied to the Maple Leaf Brigade and I still made it to the next step.
The thing with criteria is that there will always be exceptions. We may all have opinions on the matter, but we are all biased towards things that we can fit into so we often deny certain aspects of automation. I for one, don't understand the whole 140,150+ comments since far more content is available in lower levels; several that are level limited and that those who are higher never experienced including myself. However, again, that is biased since I never trained with 4th job Mages and don't have the damage to pin yet and lost motivation for my solo training long ago (leveled 3 times in the past year, and 5 in the year before that I think). Some criteria make sense, and others we just want to deny for convenience.
