D/Cs do get rid of your bonus EXP, much to the dismay of many a laggy mapler. It's based on how long the character itself is online, so you can AFK for 5 hours on that character before training and get the +200% bonus every third kill, but you would lose it if you logged off it and logged onto another character on the same account.
