Matt, how many hard drives do you have?
AHCI allows single SATA/IDE interfaces and RAID arrays to work together, although XP is not supported in this mode unless you have a custom written BIOS and or correct driver.
Yes it can, but his vista partion is on RAID. I.E. 2 hard drives working together to provide back up or a performance boost depending on configuration set by the manufacturer or person who built the computer.
