Please be a bit more specific when you address this unfortunate caveat to pride, if you will. Many strong, vocal supporters of the gay rights movement are not ridiculously flamboyant, so it would be more appropriate to refer to those who are as "some of the gay rights movement."
And I do agree, especially with your comment about the stereotypical "gangstas" and "bros." Anyone can take a label or a stereotype and exemplify it beyond reasonable boundaries, and when that occurs it gets annoying. Everything.in.moderation.
Unless you truly are a gangsta who shoots up people, a bro who is "all that," or a gay who can't help but flaunt what he/she has got. It's important to remember that some truly are the stereotype, but for the rest, the so called "posers," then your comments absolutely apply.

The idea of imposition doesn't exactly work with regards to the gay rights movement. I tried typing something else up before to elaborate on this, but it just really made no sense and wasn't establishing the point I wanted to make. So instead, I'll put it this way: everyone should have pride for who they are, no matter what. Black, white, green, Asian, Mexican, gay, straight, transgender, old, young, Catholic, Protestant, Jewish...it doesn't matter in the end, as we're all still people. What's important to recognize is that, religion aside, the aforementioned biological identities are unchangeable, and so long as one accepts that, there's no issue. The key point to also remember is that this is the truth of the world, not some lie or some delusion crafted to blind billions. All anyone is asking is for people to understand and accept this truth of things.
