If you speak Portuguese then http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_American. If you don't, maybe a Spanish-speaking community? I'm not sure how well Central and South American countries get along together (and Mexico). I suggest Florida since, no offence but, if you can't even spell "recommendations" you're not likely getting into any decent US college. The US is the top of the heirarchy of international univesities (whether there's real merits or not) so it's harder to get in. If you're still motivated, prepare to do a pomegranateload of paperwork. I suggest contacting your school guidance counselor. If there isn't any, do preliminary research on what level college you're trying to get in, then wittle it down to a few that you can do extensive research on. Most universities use the Common Application which can smooth the process out. Still expect each institution to require an application, a transcript, test scores (sent directly to the schools; in most cases they wouldn't be accepted if sent by you and a letter of recommendation(s) along with anything else they require. It is a painful process which can end up being fruitless. Suffice it to say US educational institutions are looking for students who will end up successful and give large endowments back to the universities. Hence unless you're the son of Carlos Slim, don't expect any nice returns from Americanos. Most college enrollment officers are quite...

I can't speak for college life as I've never been in an American college. Watch a film about American colleges and you would get the general picture (not the ones with extreme descriptions like Revenge of the Nerds).

From a financial standpoint, it would make more sense to attend a Brazillian, state-sponsored university than a pseudo-nonprofit American one.
