I think it's easier when someone actual teaches you and show you the steps and all. I couldn't understand the online guides, but I learned it in about 10 days or so, when my friend taught me on the subway. I can finish in just under 2 minutes almost all the time with the beginner's method (I think that's what it's called) and I didn't really have to practice.
