My favorite quote is more of a story, which i am not sure i have completely right(cannot find book i read it from) It is attributed to the Taoist Sage Chuange-tze, and it goes something like
"There once was a man who was tired of seeing his footprints, and wanted to escape his shadow, so he ran. But no matter how far he ran, his footprints followed him, and no matter how fast he went, his shadow kept pace. So he ran faster and faster, until dying from exhaustion. If he had just stood still, there would be no more footprints, if he had rested in the shade, he would cast no shadow."
