They are separate adventurers. You can note the difference if you compare a level 11 Rogue (DB) and a level 11 Rogue, A rogue has Dark Sight, Lucky Seven, Double Stab, Keen Eyes, Disorder and Nimble Body. Dual Bladers at the first job only have Disorder, Dark Sight, Double Stab and Nimble Body.

Since they are, thieves that can't have any assassin abilities. This is why Adventurers can't advance to Dual bladers, even DB's being Explorers, they are a different ID job.
