The game gave you skills, and told you exactly how they worked. If they suddenly change them to do different they have to give you a skill reset.

However, stats ever since the start of MapleStory have only worked one way and one way only. Just because statless people decided to change that doesn't mean the way they work change. So therefore they do not have to provide AP resets for abusers.

1) Stats affect damage formulas.
2) Stats affect accuracy formulas.
3) They are changing the formulas.
4) They are changing stats themselves.

That's pretty much the core of the game along with skills. Both things are being changed. Not just skills.
