If we're going to be serious...
I find the whole fictional high school thing to be completely stupid. It's never accurate, at least not to my experiences. For example, I don't think anyone I know cares about who's on the football team or is a cheerleader. It's not like it has some elite status or anything.
Furthermore, there are some people that I know to be on the football team (and a lot more if you include all the other sports) in my honors classes. I have no idea why people still use these sterotypes that probably weren't accurate decades ago when they were made.
