humanity in general does things purely for pleasure, without needing a reason to do it or moral justification. it all comes down to "are you bothering people with it?" and "how bad is it really?"
i personally believe that i can do anything i want that gives me pleasure as long as i don't bother anyone doing what i do and no one should care about how bad something is for me, as long as i'm aware of anything bad that might come out of it. when i see a case like Syd Barret (pink floyd - LSD), Layne Staley (alice in chains - heroin) or any john doe with alcohol (drunken driving, domestic violence) happen with weed, i'll get second thoughts. right now, to put a couple examples, i see Bill Maher and Willie Nelson doing weed and they're living pretty good...
