Don't know if you're serious, but it's a really long read. Like, 30 hours. Certainly not something I'd recommend for a first VN, even if it is good. The best route is the final one, which takes hours and hours of reading to get to (but it is very good, and that's not to say the routes before that aren't enjoyable to read, but the last route is really what makes it stand out.)
It doesn't even seem like it'd suit your tastes. Though, I might have a few short VNs that you may like.
Of course, knowing you, you're not serious at all about giving it a try.

I congratulate you on finding it, but in some cases you really can't help it and should just stick to pirating. This is an out of print game, and it's not as if it was well known enough to have a lot of copies just laying around people's attics or something. It's not as if you're supporting the original creators either, or the translators. You'd only be able to buy a copy someone else already paid for.
I commend you on being so noble, but I could never do something like this. The closest to this I've ever gotten with is manga, and that's because they're relatively cheap. But even then, I only buy series that I've already read on my computer, and want to support or re-read.
Best of luck to you, man. Ever17 is a really nice VN. Remember11 was just translated recently, if you're interested in that. I've yet to read it myself, but plan on sometime next week.
