IDK about Aion copying everything in WoW. It definitely has a lot of the same things but so does all new MMOs, its kinda hard not to considering WoW has so much.

A lot of people complain about this being a grind fest, but it is nothing on games like MS. More grindy than WoW for sure but WoW pretty much gives you exp for doing nothing a lot of the time.
As Cynic said classes are unbalanced and Melee are screwed over a lot of the time. There is a big problem with Melee when it comes to attacking in PvP, especially in the abyss when flying. You will often get the "target out of range" message when you are right next to the target and within range. You can ask any end game melee class player. This is not a ping issue either, range classes have the major advantage in the air. IMO Rangers are the king of the abyss, Assassins are better suited for rifting/ground PvP. This is due to the "target out of range" crap. You will also often see Sorcs going into the abyss, doing 4k DP and then returning to town. This 4k DP will pretty much kill anyone with 1 or 2 minor skills after it.

Abyss Points are much like Honor, except that when you get killed in PvP you lose some. The higher rank you are, the more you lose. This leads to it sometimes being hard to find good targets to kill because people don't want to risk losing AP. Instead everyone does Dredgion instance where you PvP and PvE but dont lose AP from PvP deaths and also fortress instances that reward items that trade in for AP. This system IMO is pretty bad. The stupid thing about it and why high ranked people steer clear of the abyss is because even if a whole alliance of people kill you, you still lose the same AP, and considering most people travel in groups, you don't stand much chance. Then you get the sorcs I mentioned earlier who just save their 4k DP skill and go nuke a high rank target then run back to town.

As mentioned earlier Templars having a pulling skill which pulls targets to themselves. Sadly this is where their usefulness runs out. They are made to be a tanking class but both Assassins and Gladiators can tank just as well while putting out more damage. Hell I have even seen a Ranger tank Tahabata which is pretty much the hardest boss in the game. Aggro in Aion is mostly based on damage. Almost any assassin can pull aggro from 99% of templars. Has nothing to do with the templar being bad, just that a templars provoke skills just dont pull enough aggro and quite frankly no one wants them because Assasins and Glads dish out more damage.

End game content? There is none. Its just repetitive doing Dredgion instance, fortress instance and taking a fortress. Thats it. Also gates on a fortress are a joke. There is a stigma skill for glads and temps that allow them to do a skill on the gate that is about 5x damage than any other skill but quite frankly its a waste of a stigma slot. When a full lvl 50 alliance starts on a gate, its normally down in about 1-1.5mins.

Lots more to go into but I'll leave it at that.
