The reason people use low-levelled equipments is because they're easier to equip, and you can easily have godly scrolled equipments if the equipment has a low requirement. Where as the higher levelled the requirement, the more attack / mag att it gives, as well as demanding more of a 2ndary stat. People pick the 1st option. Why? Because Nexon doesn't know how to work their own defense formula. Defense means absolutely nothing in this game. There's so such thing as a tank in Maple Story. People will make 30k HP classes/characters just to seem unique, but that is useless anyways, because the formula sucks monkey-dick.
