You've probably notice that things are becoming expensive in Maplestory more and more. I've been looking around, and now seeing that it's people being impatient is the main source. People don't want to spend time looking threw all those Free Market shops for that one item.
Lets take an example:
Shop A has Dark Scroll for Claw ATT 30% for 15,000,000 mesos. This shop is located in Free Market 8
Shop B has Dark Scroll for Claw ATT 30% for 20,000,000 mesos. This shop is located in Free Market 3
Most of the time, it's the Shop that is in a lower number room that wins. People will spend 5 million more mesos on a scroll that is average about 15 million because they don't want to go around looking. But as that 5 million more is spent, the shop owner believes he can keep this up. Soon, people look at his/hers shop and also try to sell it for 20,000,000 mesos. Now you have no option but to buy it for 20,000,000 mesos. And on top of that, people don't want to wait for the merchant to drop the price.
So whats to blame? In my opinion it's the layout of the Free Market. Most checks Free Market 1 first, and then go on from there. This also causes people to snag a spot and then sell it for about 5,000,000 mesos. Annoying!
But there is one great item in the Cash Shop that could fix it, if it was an NPC instead. The Owl of Minerva is a great NX Item, but the usage is extremely weak. If I consume this item, and get bad results, I lose it. (Do note, no results means no consuming). If this item was not an item, but rather an NPC that was located in the Free Market, it would help the economy, greatly. Also, side effects would be that the Free Markets spot all have the same value, therefor each shop as an equal chance. Also the "scamming" would be greatly reduced.
There should be something done about this economic inflation, it's becoming more and more unstable as the days go by.
