We still need to have the ~18k HP to survive his big bang. I don't know how they were able to all get 22k, but that strategy is not doable at all without enough HP to tank that attack.
Did anyone else notice that there was nothing but attackers there? No mages or bishops, just tons of NLs, Bowmasters, a Corsair, some DrKs, and a few Buccs and Heroes.
