Go read up on HTML5 please. Videos are still decoded by the machine that it's run on. YouTube works on the iPhone because all the videos are specially converted for it. HTML5 isn't magical, if the video embedded in an HTML document isn't encoded to the iPad's liking, it won't play.

Your equations isn't a fair comparison. Netbook can get OpenOffice at no cost, which is a fair substitute iWork. If you're going to talk about "all the software for hundreds" you need to include that for the iPad as well.

So at the end, iPad = $510 + tax, Netbook = $350 + tax.

This post is about 140+ words long, would have taken at least 5 minutes to type on an iPhone, given the iPad's got a larger screen, you're still typing with your two thumbs. Quit being a fanboy.

QFT, everyone pirates software. EVERYONE other then middle class brain dead consumer americans (this means the "american" mentality ofcourse, p.s if you don't know what I mean. look for "george carlin ; Life is worth losing " )
and sure theres enough dumb people to sell them enough copies to make a buck, but its still useless and way over priced. i mean WAY over priced. we all know macs are pricey because its a show off name. but really, this thing only exists for people to be "seen with it" nothing more. its an oversized Ipod touch.

I'd much rather buy a netbook/laptop for the same price. and I can still get internet anywhere on a much better network on a netbook. most ISP's have a little adapter you can plug into the side of your netbook and pay like 15$ or so a month for unlimited access anywhere.

so it just FAILS. p.s I don't hate mac or anything like that. I own an Ipod classic . so don't go and say somthing like " you just hate apple" or some stupid pomegranate like that.
