^ It's more an implication of one continuous mouth, the gap accounts for the weird way the top is shaped if explicitly defined, which causes it to overlap slightly. It's a characteristic of the simple style portrayed. As far as I can tell at least.
OT: L> Your sudden motivation to draw things. Haven't had any drive lately at all, and anything I start ends up unfinished lol. It's a good start after a break at least, no need to rush into huge epic pieces immediately.
