I think everyone here would prefer a peaceful death...or a death while doing something that you felt was worth dying for. Except maybe masochists.
I'll keep my guesses short. All we can do is guess, anyway.
Worst case scenario for me is that after you die, you're still able to function optically but not in any other way...basically you're a set of eyes. But that would be biologically impossible since blood/oxygen flow stops, etc. plus your eyes are closed. <_< So I'd have to say that nothing happens after death. You're asleep. That's it.
Best case scenario would be that you're able to roam around freely without having any powers of interaction with any physical structures. I know it's a common guess of what happens after death, but meh. It could happen. Unless we find a way to communicate with the dead, we'll never know until we actually die.
