If GMS does change it and decide not to give the tie between Kaede Castle and Future Toukyou (which I doubt they will), they will most likely add a portal in Jipangu somewhere that leads to Kamuna, which is the entrance map to Future Toukyou. Anything other than Jipangu as the entrance is beyond absurd.
Uhh, lets see, how about because half of CWK is the same forest the mansion is in? OH YEAH! that was why! CWK has a story connected deeply to NLC, and occasionally the mansion too...yet aqua road is one of the furthest places from NLC now. (The entire reason for raiding the keep in CWKPQ is because they were going to attack New Leaf city to try and steal something, suggestedly from the crimsonheart guys grave!)
You can't stick a fricken haunted forest, as well as A MOUNTAIN RANGE underneath the ocean, but they did anyway
