If that's the case then my best course of action if I ever want the fees to be reasonable again is to continue to use MTS for storage, and nothing else...
I don't know why the tax in MTS is reversed - everywhere else, the more you have the more tax you pay. Here, the less you have, the more you pay - it drives away anyone under a certain threshold, which appears to be about 50mil - and believe it or not, the majority of the players don't have that much money to toss around :|
