ehh. zzz. I suppose you understand what I meant by that.

Translation: If you want to argue irony between my level and my statement "GO OUTSIDE," then I can call you out on every instance where you claim Lv. 200 Magicians require no work and are super easy to make.

First off: How is that even comparable? We may argue about your statement without bringing ourselves in. Some of us think it's weird for people that have used a lot of hours on a game to comment in a rather trolly way about something that's most likely way more common than what he thinks, when most other people think it's way more waste of time to play to level 200 on MapleStory.

Second: From 120 when you weren't able to get as much as 100 m/hr, it would take you 403 hours to get to 200 assuming you got 100 m/hr. Assuming Mark gain 50 mill exp/hr, he would have to use 173 hours in order to get to his level. Therefore, your argument isn't even valid.

FrozNlite Wrote:Who wouldn't defend themselves when their ideas or character are brought to question? Yes, I am awfully defensive, and as that's a simple fact, I'm awaiting your logic.

Paul Graham Wrote:The prohibition will be strongest when the group is nervous. The irony of Galileo's situation was that he got in trouble for repeating Copernicus's ideas. Copernicus himself didn't. In fact, Copernicus was a canon of a cathedral, and dedicated his book to the pope. But by Galileo's time the church was in the throes of the Counter-Reformation and was much more worried about unorthodox ideas.

To launch a taboo, a group has to be poised halfway between weakness and power. A confident group doesn't need taboos to protect it. It's not considered improper to make disparaging remarks about Americans, or the English. And yet a group has to be powerful enough to enforce a taboo. Coprophiles, as of this writing, don't seem to be numerous or energetic enough to have had their interests promoted to a lifestyle.

I suspect the biggest source of moral taboos will turn out to be power struggles in which one side only barely has the upper hand. That's where you'll find a group powerful enough to enforce taboos, but weak enough to need them.
