2.) Why should the hit counter reset if you use a life token?

Uh, because you were revived?

3.) Deliberately dying just so you can use a life token to raise your rank sounds more like a deliberate manipulation of the system, and it doesn't seem "in the spirit" of the game (even if Nexon says it is okay).

It's a sacrifice of a token rather than a manipulation of the system, because the system works that way. There's a reason you get a limited number of tokens each day, to limit that.


For some reason, though, I revived one time in the Puppet Museum and the hits weren't reset. That, or the insane amount of attacks the puppeteers threw brought that back up.
